Useful Finance sites
CNNMoney.com
A very popular web site with news and financial articles from Fortune, Money and Business 2.0.
Damodaran Online
Excellent source of updated financial information as reference for a finance course. Maintained by Professor Aswath Damodaran of Columbia. Includes updated Excel sheets, Powerpoint presentations and even class videos. With some patience you will find extremely useful information.
OSU Virtual Finance Library
Comprehensive listing of finance journals, working papers and financial data sources located at Ohio State University. A bit overwhelming by the amount of information but an excellent place to get a sense of how much is available. Many outdated links but still a great reference tool.
Yahoo Finance
The most popular finance site on the Web measured by number of daily visits. An excellent source of data on individual companies.
Sources of data for company and industry research
CorporateInformation.com
Not as comprehensive as Hoover´s (below) but covers non-US companies. Requires subscription or pay per view.

Latin Trade
Latin Trade is a business magazine emphasizing news, interviews and market data. Spanish and English editions. Available online and in printed format in the INCAE libraries.
Sources of financial news

The Economist is the weekly publication of choice on world economic matters. Outstanding articles. Has a yearly review of financial issues published around the month of April that is second to none (partly restricted to subscribers). Free full text articles available through the INCAE library system web site.
FT.com
Financial Times, outstanding publication based in London. More global coverage than the WSJ (partly restricted to subscribers).

Economic and Social Data
CEPAL
Site of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean based in Santiago, Chile. Social and economic data for all of Latin America. Good foreign direct investment surveys published annually.
Consejo Monetario Centroamericano
Excellent source of historical economic data for the Central American region dating back to 1960. Site has been updated recently and better than SIECA´s in many aspects.
Economist Intelligence Unit
Access to Economist Intelligence Unit publications on Latin America: Business Latin America, Country Report, Country Profile and Country Forecast. Available free through the INCAE library system web site.
International Monetary Fund
A reference point for financial statistics and country surveys. The IMF publication International Financial Statistics is available free through the INCAE library system web site.
SIECA
Good source of comparative historical economic data for Central America. Some useful series but outdated by at least two years.
World Bank
Very useful and updated country data. Reports that were very hard to find are now available on the Web. Doing Business yearly reports are a very useful source of data. Both INCAE Libraries have received all World Bank publications since 1985 and have online access to the World Bank databases.
