Resumen:
The article focuses on the combined role of globalization and outsourcing in changing the face of managing offshore operations or virtual teams. As a result of outsourcing, the establishment of virtual teams as an organizational way has come so quickly that it has left many managers at a bit of a loss. And they have discovered that managing employees virtually is not the same as managing them face-to-face. But whether it is a case of managing an offshore operation, a recent acquisition, or a global team, trust is essential. One must be responsive and committed to one's virtual team. In the article, the author has suggested six steps to boost trust in dispersed operations and virtual teams.
